The site is based on WordPress, uses Widget Logic and Sociable (two of my favorite plug-ins) and is a slightly altered version of the Old Popular Yolk theme. Each of the artist/project pages include links to each member’s social networking presence, which is the primary way they promote their events.

Their new site is now off of wordpress.com and onto Bluehost (my favorite WordPress host – $99/year and stellar support so far). It’s using the latest build (2.8.4) and a lightly altered version of the Mimbo theme. Unfortunately, both Sociable and WidgetLogic don’t jive with this theme without extensive CSS work, which is outside the scope of this project. The Housing Center still has some content to add, but the bones of the site are there.

Each of their three websites serves dramatically different purposes and are maintained for different audiences, hence the separate sites.

Together they are sponsoring the Building One America summit this September in Washington D.C. to push for federal policies that promote regional equity and opportunity. The summit promises to be an inspiring event, and I hope to see you there. The site is built on WordPress and is using a lightly-altered version of the Big City theme.
